    Counterparts

    1) Timal Community Rural Electrification Co-operative Association Ltd (TCRECA) is a user's co-operative which was established to prepare and implement a project for electrification of the region of Timal. After the completion of the project TCRECA will act as a private company that buys electricity from the national electricity company of Nepal (NEA), sells electricity to the users and is responsible for the distribution of electricity to all households.

    2) Sāthsāthai Bikash Nepal (SaBiNe)
Until December 2008 all projects were implemented by the Timal Community Rural Electrification Co-operative Association Ltd (TCRECA). In December 2008 it was concluded that the complexity of the electrification project requires all attention of the board members of TCRECA. In close co-operation between the boards of TCRECA and NGO Sāthsāthai and the political leaders of the region of Timal it was decided to establish a new NGO “Sāthsāthai Bikash Nepal” (“working together for the development of Nepal”). This NGO was registered by the Central District Office on January 1, 2009. All board members are very experienced with our former projects and have proven to be able to implement a project successfully. The main responsibility of SaBiNe will be the implementation of our toilet- and improved cooking stove projects.

    3) Responsible for the implementation of women projects (literacy classes for adult women, microfinance groups and new income generating activities) is our local programme manager for women projects, Sangram Jit lama, who is an expert on Microfinance. He will consult and will be advised by a Women Advisory Committee. This committee represents all 3.000-5.000 women of all 7 villages of the region. Their involvement guarantees that the projects reflect the wishes and the possibilities of these women. The WAC was established in January 2010.
